Undoing the Mistakes: PPF Removal and Restoration

The project began with the removal of the full PPF, carefully extracting the poorly installed film without damaging the underlying paint. Removing subpar film is a delicate and time-intensive process, especially on a delicate finish like this one. Once the film was removed, our team assessed the paint’s condition and found extensive swirl marks, hazing, and leftover adhesive, all of which dull the brilliance of Portimao Blue and needed to be addressed.

To restore the finish, we performed a full multi-stage paint correction. This meticulous process eliminated micro-marring, oxidation, and defects left behind from previous work. With the paint finally refined to perfection, the color came alive—deep, vibrant, and reflective, just as BMW intended.

Protection, Redefined: XPEL Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Ceramic Coating

With the paint now flawless, we applied XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF to the whole front end—including the hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, and headlights. This premium, high-gloss film offers self-healing protection from road debris, scratches, and chips while maintaining maximum optical clarity.

To complete the process, we sealed the entire vehicle with a professional-grade ceramic coating.
